Kay Kistemaker completed his medical training at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2018, after which he gained clinical experience as a doctor in the cardiology department in Alkmaar. Since 2019, he has been training as an Anesthesiologist at the Amsterdam UMC. He has currently paused his education and is conducting PhD research aside from his work as a Cosmetic Doctor.

The patient contact he currently misses can be found in his work in aesthetic medicine. Having a chat, making the patient feel at ease and achieving a nice result together is what really appeals to him about working as a cosmetic doctor.  When you leave De Gezichtskliniek satisfied and happy, he will be too.
