Smoker's lines

Smoker's lines, also known as perioral lines or lip lines, are fine vertical wrinkles that form around the lips, particularly on the upper lip. These lines are often associated with smoking due to the repetitive puckering motion of the lips while inhaling.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are one of the most popular and effective treatments for smoker's lines (although botox is also possible). As the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases, the skin becomes thinner and wrinkles appear. By injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the smoker's lines, volume is restored to the skin. This fills in the lines, making them less visible. To achieve a natural result, the treatment is often performed not only on the smoker's lines themselves, but also on surrounding areas to give the face more structure and balance.

After your consultation with the doctor, in which you discuss the treatment, the doctor will inject the filler with a small needle or cannula. This process usually only takes 5-10 minutes. You may experience some swelling or bruising, but these usually disappear within 2 weeks. The result can remain visible for up to 12 months.
